Structural Pest Inspection:

The inspection of possible pest infestation is necessary because, if left undetected, the damage could be quite costly and a general pain to resolve. Sound View Home Inspections is certified by the State of Washington to provide pest inspection services.

Here’s what you need to know about this important topic.

Thermal Imaging Inspection:

Thermal imaging relies heavily on infrared technology. After completing the necessary arrangements, a home inspector will be dispatched to the property you intend to purchase with moisture detection equipment. Using an infrared imaging device, they are able to pinpoint areas on the floor and walls where moisture leaks through. Along with moisture issues it also reveals hot/cold spots around windows and doors, overheating wiring and breakers. It will also detect poorly insulated areas of the home and pest infestations inside the walls of the home.

Water Testing Inspection:

This is sometimes overlooked but it is important that we test for coliform bacteria, arsenic & nitrates for private wells. These bacteria, if found, can be fatal and for this reason water well testing is an important type of home inspection especially in the Puget Sound region.

Pre Buyer/Seller Inspection:

As the seller, many people think that only the home buyer has a home inspection upon buying the home. However, the seller can benefit from a pre-listing inspection because it avoids unnecessary problems down the road. If you’re selling your home, consider getting pre-listing home inspection services.
